Item by item, with a price
A plan is a list of proposed items, each with its own cost, rather than a single lump figure. The patient can see what makes up the number.
That itemisation is what makes a plan comparable to the invoice that eventually follows it.
Printing the estimate
Plans print to A4 so the patient leaves with the figure in writing. Agreeing to treatment on a printed estimate is the normal Indian practice and Cerawave supports it directly.
The print is generated from the stored plan, so the copy the patient holds and the copy the clinic holds are the same document.
Plans and money are separate
A plan is a proposal. It does not charge anyone and does not create an invoice by itself.
Billing stays an explicit act on the billing screen, so nothing is charged because a plan was drafted.
Common questions
- Does accepting a plan create an invoice?
- No. Plans and invoices are deliberately separate. Invoicing is done from billing when the work is actually charged.
- Can a plan be changed after printing?
- Plans can be revised as treatment changes. Reprint the estimate so the patient holds the current version.
