Itemised, with tax frozen on the line
An invoice is built from lines. Each line carries its own GST rate, and the computed tax is stored as a snapshot against that line.
Freezing it matters: a rate change later must not silently rewrite an invoice a patient already holds.
Recording what was collected
Payments record what the patient actually handed over and by which method, against the invoice it settles.
Cerawave is a ledger here, not a gateway. The money moves the way it already does at your front desk, and Cerawave records it.
Printing
Invoices and receipts print to A4, which is what a patient asking for a bill in an Indian clinic expects to be handed.
The print is generated from the stored invoice, so reprints match the original.
Common questions
- Can patients pay online through Cerawave?
- No. Patients pay the clinic directly by cash, UPI, or your own card terminal. Cerawave records the payment; it does not process it.
- What happens to an old invoice if I change a GST rate?
- Nothing. The tax on each line is stored as a snapshot when the invoice is raised, so past invoices do not move.
