Attached to the record
Documents belong to a patient, and result documents can belong to the investigation they answer.
That is deliberate: a file that lives beside the record instead of inside it is a file nobody finds a year later.
Scanned on the way in
Uploads can be scanned for malware before being accepted, so a clinic that receives files from labs and patients is not treating every attachment as trustworthy.
Document storage with malware scanning is listed as a Practice Pro capability on the pricing page.
Common questions
- What can I attach?
- Files that belong to the patient’s care, including reports and images returned against an investigation.
- Can another clinic see my uploads?
- No. Documents belong to the clinic that holds the patient record.
